Dr. Aboosi was born in Baghdad, Iraq but moved to Jordan when he earned a prestigious scholarship to study Dentistry at the University of Jordan. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2011 and then moved to the U.S. where he deepened his dentistry knowledge after completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society in 2016.
In 2019, Dr. Aboosi also received the Dr. and Mrs. Gerald M. Kramer Scholar Award for Excellence from the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation. This prestigious award is given to only one graduating periodontist in the nation each year.
Dr. Aboosi’s favorite part of his job is the interaction he has with people. Firstly, forming a strong relationship with his patients so they understand their treatment options and can make an informed decision on their treatment. Secondly, he enjoys the teamwork and collaboration involved within the periodontal field with other restorative dentists and specialists to ensure he can deliver the best care to his patients.
